AVIGNON – This past weekend, within the historic walls of the Palais des Papes in Avignon, the annual Congress of the European Cycling Union (UEC) took place. At this prestigious gathering, which brought together delegates from 50 national federations in the presence of the President of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), David Lappartient, Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by the President of the national federation, Toni Zorić.
The work of the Cycling Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina has once again been recognized at the highest international level. For the second consecutive year, Bosnia and Herzegovina has received accolades for excellence in organizing the key developmental pillars of the sport.

Consistent success in the spotlight
This is not merely a formal commendation but a confirmation of strategic investment in infrastructure and professional staff. Representatives of the European Federation's member countries had the opportunity to hear about the efforts of the BiH Federation, which resulted in public praise for:
- Excellent organization of National Team training camps;;
- High-quality implementation of educational workshops for coaches and commissaires (officials);
- Effective and transparent management of funds within the UCI Solidarity programme.
The fact that both the European (UEC) and World (UCI) governing bodies of cycling are highlighting this Federation as a model for the proper utilization of development funds ensures immense credibility for future projects. It is worth noting that the Federation previously received identical recognition at the UCI global congress held in Zurich, Switzerland, in front of 197 member countries.

Focus on sustainable development and the future of sport
During the sessions in Avignon, led by UEC President Enrico Della Casa, priorities such as the development of women's cycling and investment in young talents were emphasized. The recognition awarded to Bosnia and Herzegovina aligns directly with these goals. Without professional coaches and top-tier preparation conditions, long-term sporting success is not possible.

„We continue to work diligently, step by step, aware that good organization and education are the foundations upon which our future sporting results will grow," stated the Federation's President Toni Zorić, emphasizing that this success belongs to all members, clubs, and athletes who work tirelessly to promote cycling.
Following this double international recognition, the eyes of the European and global cycling community remains, with good reason, fixed on the projects coming out of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
