The Kravica waterfall is a pearl of the Herzegovina landscape, located on the Trebi\u017eat river, 7 km from Ljubu\u0161ki. It is a unique natural beauty built by the river Trebi\u017eat, which flows through limestone terrain and deposits travertine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kravica Nature Park is a popular tourist destination thanks to its beautiful waterfall over 25 meters high. The Kravica waterfall is said to have been created millions of years ago. The Kravica waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is definitely worth a visit. The waterfall was created by the tectonic movement and uplift of the limestone plateau on which the Trebi\u017eat, the river that feeds the falls, flows. Kravica is best visited in summer when the water level is high and the weather is warm.<\/p>\n\n\n

What to expect when you arrive at Kravica Nature Park?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kravica Nature Park is open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the summer months and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the winter months. The park offers visitors a range of facilities, including parking, a train, toilets, changing rooms, restaurants and more. Swimming and sunbathing are also popular activities here, as are boat rentals. There are also souvenir shops on site for those who want to take home a piece of Kravica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ticket price is 20.00 KM. When you arrive at the National Park, there is a large parking lot where you can leave your car and they will leave you there if you are coming with a tour group. The park is well marked with signs, so it's easy to find your way around. The parking lot is elevated and is located on a plateau some 50-100 meters above the foot of the waterfall. After you buy your ticket, you can continue to find your way to the base of the falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are several hiking trails that lead to the falls, so you can choose the trail that suits you best. The trails are of varying difficulty, so there is something for everyone. All trails lead to viewing platforms where you can enjoy the beauty of the falls before actually getting close to them. The trails are also very well maintained, so you don't have to worry about getting lost or injured. One thing to keep in mind is that the last part of one of the trails, literally the last 10 meters, is a bit steep and can be very slippery, especially if you're wearing worn out shoes so hold on to the handrail.<\/p>\n\n\n

When you descend to the base of the falls, you will be mesmerized by the view. You will see a lake that has formed in a depression at the foot of the waterfall, and on one side of the lake you will find 2 restaurants, changing rooms and a little further toilets. There will be a wooden bridge that will take you to the other side of Lake Kravica where the waterfall descends into the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
