It was conquered by the Turks in 1466 and this explains its Ottoman architecture. The Necropolis of Radimlja, 2 km from Stolac, stands out as one of the most fascinating and mysterious places in this region: here you can see dozens of ste\u0107aks, tombstones of old Bogomils, dating from the 14th-16th centuries. century. In addition, near Stolac, fans of Ottoman architecture can visit the Sultan Selim Mosque (Emperor's Mosque, 16th century) and the mosques in Uzunovi\u0107a and \u0106uprija (18th century). The residential oriental architecture complex of Begovina (19th century) is particularly interesting.
