On Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the premises of the Visitor Center on Buna, the Electoral Assembly of the Cycling Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held. This important event brought together representatives of cycling clubs from the entire Federation, who made some important decisions about the future work and development of cycling in this entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cycling Federation of the Federation of BiH currently has 30 member clubs, which is an impressive figure, because it is a relatively young Federation, and which again tells us about the increasing interest in cycling and the engagement of clubs in the cycling community. The Assembly was an opportunity for the members to choose a new leadership, who will lead the Federation in the coming period and work on the improvement of cycling in the entire Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was particularly highlighted that as many as five members from Mostar were elected to executive functions within the Association, which further strengthened the role of Mostar as an important center of cycling sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among the chosen ones are: Igor Ba\u0161i\u0107<\/strong> as President of the Assembly, Josip Bari\u0161i\u0107<\/strong> member of the Board of Directors, Ivo \u010cerkez<\/strong> as a member of the Supervisory Board and General Secretary Biljana Krtali\u0107<\/strong> which we mentioned earlier. Their appointment testifies to the quality and commitment of the cycling community in Mostar, which continuously contributes to the development and popularization of cycling in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly elected leadership of the Cycling Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced ambitious plans for the future, including further work with young people through new projects, organization of new competitions and improvement of cooperation with clubs and institutions. The assembly was concluded with optimism and the desire to raise cycling in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to an even higher level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amar Njem\u010devi\u0107<\/strong>, the newly elected president of the Bicycling Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed his satisfaction with the trust placed in him:I am extremely honored to have been given the opportunity to lead the Bicycle Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the upcoming mandate. Our goal is to ensure the further growth and development of cycling in the entire Federation, and the key to this is the strengthening of cooperation between all clubs and better and better cooperation with our umbrella Federation at the state level. Also, we will try to make even more efforts to work with young people and organize new training camps and competitions that will attract not only domestic but also international cyclists. I believe that together we will succeed in raising cycling to an even higher level<\/em>.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toni Zori\u0107<\/strong>, president of the Bicycling Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also made his statement: \"I believe that today we had a productive Assembly and that we elected extremely high-quality people to the leadership positions of this Entity Alliance. I believe in the progress and future of this institution, and I see an even stronger cooperation between the entity and state levels, because we share the same goals - the continuous and safe development of this sport, and the involvement of as many young people as possible in cycling, to whom we will provide quality education and support for practicing this sport.<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am especially happy that 30 clubs have given their trust for places in the executive functions of this institution to as many as five Mostars, which proves that the quality work and development of cycling sports that comes from Mostar, but also from the entire Herzegovina as a region, is recognized. Yesterday we had the organization of a very important road race that won the national champions, today we gathered leading people from cycling in the Federation, which shows that our people in Herzegovina have the capacity and knowledge to do great things and deliver great projects\", Zori\u0107 added.<\/em>.”<\/p>\n\n\n
