Mostarsko Blato: The Geographical Gem of Herzegovina<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Mostarsko Blato is a karst field located southwest of Mostar, on the way to \u0160iroki Brijeg, at an altitude of 200-300 meters above sea level. This incredible plain spans 3,800 hectares, with as much as 1,500 hectares becoming flooded each year due to heavy autumn and winter rains. In some years, the water level can reach up to 10 meters, creating a temporary lake in the heart of the field.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is surrounded by white limestone rocks, formed by the action of strong rains and winds, creating an unusual and unique geological structure. The permeable rocks allow water from rainfall to disappear into underground cavities, making Mostarsko Blato even more fascinating.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
