The old German road

It got the name of this trail because it partly passes along a macadam road which the locals call a German road. It is not known where the name came from, but it is assumed that it is a road that was built during the German occupation of BiH. The trail partly passes through the Neretva canyon and passes by the Buna canal, a 1 kilometer long and deep notch of the Neretva south of Mostar. The trail also passes by the Orthodox monastery Žitomislić and by the famous stone vineyards in the municipality of Čitluk.
