Most of this route passes through the rural parts of western Herzegovina, providing perfect conditions for mountain biking. The trail starts from the Bagin Bridge (Ljubuški), in the length of 32 km, visiting the places Kravica Waterfall, Tower of Duke Stjepan Vukčić Kosača, Proboj and Nasip Bajer, and we end the journey again on the Bagin Bridge in Ljubuški. From visiting remote villages, rural roads and the way of life of the locals on this 32-kilometer-long route, you will discover the most hidden corners of nature in western Herzegovina.

Municipality of Ljubuški
The town of Ljubuški located in the valley of the river Trebižata has 27,275 inhabitants on an area of 292.7 km2. With a moderate Mediterranean climate, it has recently become the most developed tourist center of the West Herzegovina County with a rich array of natural water pearls Kravica, Koćuša, Božjak and the inevitable cultural and historical heritage from the medieval fortress of Herceg Stjepan to the remains of the Roman camp Gračina. the oldest museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Franciscan Museum in Humac.
The untouched original nature of the river valley of Trebizat is best experienced by cycling, providing harmony to the mind and thoughts, and refreshment to the body by swimming in the river. Romantic paths through the rustic villages of Ljubuški will take you to the Roman camp Gračina, Kravica and Koćuša waterfalls, all the way to the Ljubuski jewel of the cultural and historical heritage of the medieval fortress of Duke Stjepan Kosača, which will give you the opportunity for a spectacular lookout. The network of bicycle paths stretches through Ljubuski municipality in the length of 108.4 km.

Although the trail mostly takes us through populated areas and you drive on a paved section, we always think that on longer rides it is necessary to bring a mini tool and a tool for patching inner tires, so the rule applies to this section. We definitely recommend that you tell your family or friends about your cycling plans before you go for a ride.
ABOUT THE CYCLING RURAL PROJECT
The trail “L201 – Bagin Most – Kravica Waterfall – Tower of Duke Stjepan Vukčić Kosača – Proboj – Embankment Bajer – Bagin most”, is a cycling trail developed and implemented within the project Cycling Rural – Cycling routes to improve the natural and cultural heritage of Herzegovina and Montenegro Up. The project “Bicycle routes for the improvement of natural and cultural heritage of Herzegovina and Montenegro” is implemented within the Cross-border Cooperation Program Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro, funded by the European Union. The project officially started on October 1, 2019, and implementation will last 18 months. The total value of the project is EUR 495,000.00, of which the European Union finances EUR 400,000.00. The project partners are the Office of the Government of the West Herzegovina County for European Integration as the project holder, the City of Široki Brijeg, the City of Ljubuški, the Municipality of Posušje, the Municipality of Grude and the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi. The European Union is financing this project with the aim of strengthening and diversifying the quality of the tourist offer, as well as the development of cycling and outdoor tourist offer in rural areas of the cross-border regions of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project will result in the creation of a new and attractive offer under the brand “Cycling Rrural” which will become part of the overall tourist offer of both countries, as well as the tourist offer of the Adriatic hinterland.
